A note from the maker

Why Transactor exists

Transactor started as a fix for a personal headache: bills in one app, invoices buried in email, and a spreadsheet that fell out of date every time work got busy. Come tax season, everything had to be reassembled from memory.

Proper accounting software wanted a subscription and a training course for what boils down to writing down money in and money out. That gap felt absurd — so we built the tool we wished existed.

Transactor is intentionally small: quick to open, obvious to use, and honest about what it costs — nothing. It's free today and it stays free, because the tool we always wanted shouldn't sit behind a paywall.
